So if, for example, I’ve got a crunch in which I want to see what is coming up in the next few days, I can literally apply for a grant in the next few days, that is due in the next week or so. And what I can also do, is as I start to think more about my organization’s fundraising efforts, I can filter based off of what the funding uses will be, as well as the funder type. So if, for example, you know that you are better, in terms of having a higher success rate, with private donors than, potentially, federal funders, then that’s something which you can filter for just the federal side of things.

They are “process objectives” and “impact objectives.” The first, process objective, describes a task or activity with a specific start and end. What Are Objectives? And How Do You Make Them Smart?

SMART objectives appear immediately after each goal statement in your program design narrative. Here’s a tutorial on how to write SMART objectives and match them to each of your goal statements. Nowhere else in the process of grant development is there as much confusion about the use of terms as there is with “goals and objectives.” The first rule of thumb is to check what terms the funding entity uses and how they define them. Not including an effective evaluation plan can result in the proposal’s rejection.
